Vadodara wins contract over Nagpur to become facility for manufacture of Tata – Airbus Airplanes


The Tata – Aurbus project worth over Rs. 22000 crore is meant to manufacture 56 airplanes for the Indian Air force.

It is part of the grand “Make in India” vision and will generate jobs for the people in the country.

While 16 aircraft will be deployed immediately in a ready to fly condition, the remaining 40 will be manufactured in India.

Maruti Suzuki profit rise in September quarter


India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, posted a net profit of Rs. 2065 crore for the September quarter.

Total sales volume was up 36 % due to increased demand, The company also said that it has around 4 lac pending unit orders and was working to meet the increased demand.

The stock was up by 3.90 per cent to ₹9,399.35 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

A floating barrier to clean up plastic in river


To tackle plastic pollution in rivers and oceans, a company has come up with an innovative solution. With locally sourced materials, the company creates a low cost barrier to trap the plastic, before it reaches the sea.

The waste is then collected manually and sent to recycling facility near the site.
