India UK trade deal stalled
While Britain is desperately seeking a Free Trade agreement with India after Brexit, it is not going to sign the agreement if the country does not benefit from it. The new Prime Minister Liz Truss mentioned that she is not going to sacrifice speed over quality.
Both countries were hoping to get the deal signed by Diwali, but some recent comments by the members of the committee angered the Indian government.
That means the original deadline set by both countries will pass without a deal
COVID restrictions in Shanghai once again
Pursuing its zero COVID strategy, Shanghai has started another round of COVID restrictions. The residents had to endure a two-month restriction earlier this year. However this time the city administration has said that there will be no mass lock-downs.
The residents have complained about the latest restrictions since the city has just 3 confirmed cases of COVID.

Andhra Government to offer low interest rate loan to energy efficient MSME
To help MSME companies working on projects that help energy efficiency, the Andhra Pradesh State Energy Conservation Mission has tied up with Bureau of Energy Efficiency to offer low interest rates.
This will help the business to enhance productivity, employment generation and work on projects that help the state become energy efficient.
The state has promised to cut carbon emissions by one billion tonnes by the year 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2070.
Singapore Airlines in talks to integrate Vistara and Air India.
Singapore airlines is in talks with Tata group for possibly merging Vistara and Air India. This will give Singapore airlines a bigger foot hold in South Asia.
With the recent takeover of Air India from the government, the Tata group is on a path to make the airline profitable.
Bengal Warriors beat Bengaluru Bulls in Pro Kabaddi match
Bengal Warriors picked up their second consecutive victory after taking down Bengaluru Bulls 42-33 in Vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9. Captain Maninder Singh was the star performer for the Warriors with 11 points, while raider Shrikant Jadhav contributed 6 points.
Vikash Kandola effected a couple of raids in the last few minutes of the match, but Bengaluru Bulls couldn’t catch up with the Warriors. Bengal Warriors eventually held on to their lead and closed out a clinical victory.
