India has surplus stock of wheat

India could also support the world market with wheat if required


A senior official in the Ministry of Consumers affairs and Public distribution has said that India has surplus of food grains and could even sell them in the open market.

This comes at a time when after a sudden rise in temperature in March, yield in wheat crop reduced. India had banned overseas sale of wheat at that time to help stabilise the situation in the country.

The government has also intervened to purchase wheat from abroad to meet the food needs of India for some time.

The party is mounting a comeback after the ex prime minister was ousted from the government a while ago.

Ericsson bags 5 G deployment contract from Jio


Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio announced that they have partnered with Ericsson to accelerate the launch of the 5 G network across India.

This is the first partnership between the 2 companies. Ericsson has previously worked in south Korea to implement the 4 G network.
