Byjus set to close office in Kerala in a path to profitability


In a quest to become profitable, Byju may close its office in Kerala and let go of its employees in its Technopark Campus.

Byjus is reeling from more than 4000 cr loss last year and is taking steps to become profitable and reduce the cash burn.

However the employees at the office are not happy about the decision and met the labor minister to air their grievance and seeking compensation and payment of pending salaries

Saudi Arabia interested in joining BRICS


Found in 2009, the BRICS is an initiative by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa at collaboration.

Now Saudi Arabia has expressed interest to join the group after years of growing tension between USA. There are other countries like Egypt, Turkey as well who have expressed interest in joining the group.

Bilateral relations among BRICS states are conducted mainly based on non-interference, equality, and mutual benefit.

Singapore targets net zero carbon emission by 2050


The Singapore government has confirmed that it is on track to meet its target to cut carbon emission by 2050. They also made the target 2030, much stricter.

Singapore is taking steps to reduce the carbon foot print, its Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong mentioned during the inauguration ceremony of the Singapore International Energy Week.

Australia beat Sri Lanka in T 20 World cup match


After Australia won the toss and decided to bowl, the team bowled well to restrict Sri Lanka to 156 runs at the end of 20 overs.

After that a stunning knock by Marcus Stonis who made 59 runs in just 18 balls helped Australia win the match in just 16 overs.
